Panorama Transportation (2024)

Inspired by the simplicity of movement, Panorama Transportation (2024) invites you into the dynamic world of panoramic photography. This series of panorama photographs by Zaid Lee is an ode to the cyclical nature of movement: in transit, there is no beginning and no end.

Witness the unadorned beauty of movement in a moment, captured by the meticulous craft of panoramic photography which allows the photographer to transcend the boundaries of a single frame. This craft offers us a broader perspective than traditional forms of photography, thus mirroring the expansive nature of the world around us.

As you move through the gallery, we encourage you to contemplate on your experiences of travel, migration, and daily commutes. What emotions do these experiences bring up for you? Nostalgia? Frustration? A desperate need to escape to the next moment? Lee’s series of photographs will compel you to slow down and breathe through the process of transit. You may be pleasantly surprised to find that it holds many happy tales of journeys you have undertaken.  So, move, and let the stories unfold.

Opened from February 5 to 16, 2024
