It’s a Wonderful Life (2023)

Chloe Kouyoumdjian is back at Gallery 1265, this time with her own solo exhibition that explores the theme of delights of life and represents the tight-knitted circle of loved ones that surround her.

It’s a Wonderful Life on the surface shows the pleasant aesthetics of life with sentiment, at the same time there are subliminal messages throughout the works dedicated to those most important to the artist that include both family as well as friends. Inside of every single painting there are hidden messages written to loved ones as well as then sealed with paint, forever encapsulated inside of the works hidden to the naked eye. Even the titles that belong to the works feature references towards her parents, brother, as well as closest friends. Almost all the works are acrylic paintings, and all works being at the largest scale completed to date by the artist.
